Dan was sifting throught his files at work and found this old one. It is one of our favorite moments as parents. My, how they keep growing...

Daniel,
I let them buy these with their money they earned from multiplication tables and sight words at Wal-Mart. I don't have the nerve to call and tell you of my indiscretions so I am begging for forgiveness and redemption prior to your return to the "homestead". Apparently, the Fun Fair has gone to my head and the Western theme is alive. As a grace based parent, I must say that it is a pleasure to enjoy them as boys who are 6 and 8 years old. Even Matthew cannot get his imagination to stop, it's really cool.
The comments from the cowboys are:
"They're rocking and you can put them in your holster.", Matthew (with a little help from mom)
"I love it. I have killed 50 indians and blew up their town." Michael (all behind the hay in the front yard)
"This afternoon, we will face the Romans." Matthew (not sure what they did to Matt, but whatever)
"We ate cowboy food. Hot dogs, applesauce and corn." Michael (it always goes back to food with Mike)
"When you shoot the powder there is smoke and you can blow it" Matthew (nice...)
"These cap guns are awesome!!!!" Michael (classic Michael)
I love you!
Melissa
