1st Day at Triple C Camp

The guys were off to Triple C today for the first official day of summer camp. You can check out the details of the camp at http://www.tripleccamp.com/camp.php

It was 105 degree heat index today and officially 99 degrees today. That didn't stop our troopers from heading off to Triple C Camp with great courage. It was a smashing success with much dirt to prove it. Of note, Matthew drank 7 water bottles full, Michael stayed in the shade a lot and Trey's group got in the pool first this morning plus another time in the afternoon. No one is sunburned too bad or dehydrated beyond recognition. Here's to a cooler day tomorrow.

Happy Summer! Matthew gets off the bus. "Mom, there is no air conditioning on this bus..." Hmm, yeah that's rough.

School's out and we were off to the Watercountry

Michael applying sunscreen Trey popped the cap and almost half of the tube ended up in his lap. We all laughed really hard, incluing Trey!

The boys LOVED this thing. It was suspended in the pool and you had to cross by holding on to the rope and not fall off.

Severe weather

I guess these clouds are not that amazing, really. But I am always amazed how quickly the weather changes here in Virginia from beautiful to deadly. These clouds are what set off the tornado warning and left part of the county without power. The winds were very high and rain came down in sheets. Just amazing to me.

Off to 6th grade

Matthew is receiving his diploma from the teacher in the pink. He has learned so much from her! Including what not to do... Looking forward to next year. He is ready.

Happy Birthday Matthew

Matthew had his sleepover birthday party with his friends on Saturday night. We decided to do it early this year because his birthday in June is seldom attended by his friends as they are already on vacations. You can see how Suri feels the day after. Daniel and I felt like we could crawl up beside her on the floor. Staying up til 3:30am

Playing wii and games at o'dark hundred after we had marshmellows around the fire pit and a wild game of flashlight tag. The neighbors love us!
Matthew got an electric guitar

And some other nice goodies

A gift card to Dick's sporting goods!
Lots of fun being tortured by the little brother's friends during water balloon fights
