Suri has officially taken over

Suri is the best! This past week has been remarkable and she has taken over our life. She is so much fun and is always wanting to play with all of us. The cutest thing she does is attack her pillow toys. She growls and trys to pick them up not aware that the pillows weigh more than she. She also pats her paws back and forth when she wants you to pick her up. Apparently, it is working well because we pick her up...how could we resist?

Gold team wins 24-22

Matthew's team won on Saturday and beat the undeafeated team in the league. The excitement was outstanding and Matthew made the game winning shot at the 30 seconds of the game. He did foul out in next 2 seconds-but they won! Great job guys.

Fritzy-the incredible snow dog

Fritz is so good and did not want to miss a minute of the snow fun. He was willing to wear his sweatshirt and winter coat so he could stay outside longer with the boys because he likes to play in the snow, too. Especially, when he is so fashionable...

home snow

We continued to get snow through the night and ended up with about 3 inches total accumulation. It was icy and rainy this morning but it is COLD!

Welcome winter snow

FINALLY!!!!

We got some snow. The boys sledded yesterday and played tons of snow football. School was cancelled today so we did more sledding...It's been a blast.

Matt's black eye

Here is the black eye Matthew earned in afterschool. It was truly an accident and happened as Dan and I were walking in to pick him up. He waved at us then ran inside with some other kids. Apparently, there was a collision because he tripped on another kid then fell down to end up with this shiner. I should have taken a picture right after it happened because it was really bad. On the mend now, though.

Day 2

Suri slept in her purple bed and had a good night. She is eating and drinking well and going to potty just fine. The boys keep saying what a great family she came from-I have to agree. She is so sweet and has an amazing temperament!
We took her to basketball today plus a trip to petsmart for shopping. We got her a little crate and she loves it. She crawls in there on her own to get away from all of the Donaldson "love". Check out her action shot as she slides out!

Welcome Home!

Suri was welcomed home by lots of friends! Fritz thinks she is interesting but not sure what to make of her just yet. The cats were less than amused and find her pee pads to be annoying. She went with us to basketball practice and everyone LOVED her! I think we have quite a little jewel on our hands.

On the way home...

Suri did great in the car! She got a little car sick so we kept her in her little purple bed so she felt safe. She ate and drink just fine and used the little pee pads to potty, wow!
Mike was a little bored at times so he pretended to be animal trainers, super heros, etc. Matt slept some but did a lot of talking to keep us entertained. They are both great with little Suri.

Baby Suri

Here is our little one (almost 8 wks old) who will soon become part of our family. Her name is Suri (her mom's name is Blurri) and she is anticipated to weigh in around 6-7 lbs when full grown. She will be with us on Friday and is sure to become the Princess of Donaldson Castle. She is a Pekingese in case you were wondering. So cute!
Yes, we still have our standard poodle, Fritz (aka SuperFreak), the two cats Romeo and Tiger along with 3 fish. But nothing can hold a candle to this little one.

someplace to snuggle

Here is the sectional we got for christmas. I am beside myself with joy and enthusiasm because now everyone can sit down and snuggle together one the same sofa without discomfort. We tried about 8 thousand I think but this one was perfect. ETA-end of February.

Merry Christmas!

The boys had a super Christmas and got more than they ever could possibly need from Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and of course, Santa. They love their gifts and have been playing with them all. Thanks to everyone who made our holiday so special!

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve on Sherando Lake after going to church. The lake is gorgeous and we had perfect weather-just a wee bit cold at 41 degrees. The homemade soup kept us warm.

Pokemon, Pokemon, Let's do this!

Okay, you have to know the Pokemon song to get this reference but the boys sing this all the time when trading cards. On Friday night, Dec 22, the boys spent 2 hrs sliding around on the floor in their pajamas being Pokemon "things". I say things because I am not exactly sure what a Pokemon is but boys this age LOVE them.

Dan was helpful in the kitchen-supervised of course.

At least they were using their imaginations.

Progressive Dinner Party

We hosted the appetizers for the progressive dinner party. The kids had a blast in the basement. Love those huge smiles. Notice how Claire has the boys under control.
