Terrorists beware



The boys were invited to an Air Soft War party. Objective- use a gun powered with air to shoot little bullets at each other. Post party report from Michael Donaldson - "It is really fun. You get to wear all the gear, shoot each other and make a strategy with your team. Only it hurts if you get hit in a spot that is not covered with clothes."

Why do we pay taxes?




Apparently, so the county can dig up your back yard at their leisure. We woke to this demonstration in our back yard last Friday. I guess it is a good thing, no?

Julie Coffman dies from breast cancer







Many of you may be aware that I was very close with Julie and that she had been battling breast cancer for over a year now. She is now at peace with this dreadful disease. Please pray for her family and remember your breast exam if you are a female. Love you, Julie!






Julie Anne Coffman, born October 8, 1969, in Harrisonburg, Virginia, went home to see her Lord on Thursday, March 22, 2007.Julie grew up in Keezletown, resided in Charlottesville, and was back home with her parents, when she took her last breath.A 1987 graduate of Spotswood High School, Julie continued her education and earned her Associate's Degree in Nursing from Blue Ridge Community College in 1994.Julie loved her work as an RN as well as being a part of the team of the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville. Julie worked for University of Virginia for 12 years on various floors/units. In May of 2002, she was recognized as UVA's Employee of the Month and was also awarded the UVA's Hero's award in February of 2007. She was a member of Keezletown United Methodist Church. She was dearly loved by all her colleagues and was an inspiration and role model for many. Her love of life was exemplified by her beautiful smile and engaging personality.Julie will be missed by all of her friends and family. Her determination and love will always live on within them.Survivors include her parents, George "Corky" and Judy (Strickler) Coffman; one sister, Amy Coffman of Waynesboro; and one very special nephew, Andrew Coffman of Keezletown.A memorial service will be conducted bh the Reverend Dawn-Marie Singleton at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 1, 2007, at the Keezletown United Methodist Church. The burial will be private. It was Julie's wish that everyone attending the service wear the color pink in awareness of breast cancer.The family will receive friends anytime at her parent's home in Keezletown.Her wish was to find a cure for breast cancer.In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to benefit research for a cure to American Cancer Society Relay for Life-Team Coffman.
