More football

Michael's team. He played and outstanding game even though he wasn't feeling so good. At one point Dan had to tell the coach he couldn't go in anymore and he needed a break. Not that we're surpised but he plays both sides of the ball very well. No one scores when Mike is on defense. Even the ref loves Mike. Click on the picture for a closer view.

My birthday gift

Thank you for my birthday money! I spent some of my lot on this fabulous Vera Bradley set. It is from the new fall collection and so smart because it is worn as a sling. It's called the hipster. Plus I had to get the wallet. Love it!

American Heart Walk

This past Sunday and the weekend before consisted of hosting the American Heart Walk in Augusta and Orange county. This Sunday Matthew came with me to help out. Check out our little green shoe clips. Matthew is the model and he illustrates how handy these doo-dads are for holding keys, money, etc., and you can keep them secure on your shoe. Love it! Our table of stuff

Life lesson-People will fight to the death for a free t-shirt! We keep ours rolled up and color coded for size with ribbon (red-small, green- medium, multi color=XXL+), plus they look really pretty.
My favorite marketing tool. Cold Water!
My boss with her daughters

Set up and waiting for the crowds. Matt holds down the fort by playing Playstation Portable in the shade. I think that translates into inititative in his generation.

The biggest loser-family

So here are the final details of the challenge:
Daniel-30lbs
Michael-25lbs
Matthew-8lbs
Mom-12 lbs
Total loss 75lbs

Not too bad! We continue to lose and look forward to maintaining our healthly lifestyle. Above is how we did it. Can you say vegetables?

Matt's game-he is # 66

The sun is setting under the football stadium lights. I can always find Matthew because he keeps his socks low

Go, go, go. I think Matthew is stuffing the QB.
More, tackling

Final score- win for us. 33-0

Brother between games

Michael's team- he is #55

"Can I take your picture down there? "
"No. Mom, seriously do you have to do this? I won't smile or open my eyes!" Michael's buns
Let's stay focused, blah, blah, blah, whatever they say down there.

In the action

Final score (6-13) was a loss for us. There's always next week.

Interview now, really?

http://www.charlottesvillenewsplex.tv/home/headlines/28379559.html#

So, we had the 10th anniversary at Healthsouth on Sunday. It was 95 degrees and 99% humidity since it was post hurricane Ike. We had a game at 11am for Michael and made it to the party around 1:30p with plans to turn around and head to Matthew's game in the evening. I was in super football mom mode, not worker bee mode.
Anyway, the media was there and given that I am the marketing coordinator (I do get paid to do this sort of thing) an interview was required. Of all the days-why today? I'm sweaty, no make up, about to blow away in the wind and completely unprepared. Fortunately, the clip was short even though they took almost an hour of footage. Just click on the link above, click on the little video icon and be magically transported. Enjoy!

Matthew's thumb

a football injury

My birthday roses

Football has started

Happy Birthday to me, I got a Nikon D40

I got a new camera that can take action shots. I am SOOOO excited and will likely post many interesting shots. Here is Matthew trying to do an "Ollie". Mike in action. A shot I would have never captured on the old camera.
Up close shot of Suri. No red eye anymore, love that!

UVA football is back in full swing

Here is the halftime shot of the UVA band. We neglected to post any football pictures in an effort to maintain dignity for the team after their loss to USC of 52 to 7. Sigh. It's going to be a long, long season. Daniel with the boys in the stands
Getting in the gate. Mohawk required.

First day of school

Sorry there have been few updates lately, so I'll move forward from here. Here is a pic of the guys on the first day of school. Jerseys are always the fashion forward choice for pre-teen boys.
