We ran the Turkey Trot 5k this year as a family and with our beloved Harvies. It was a fabulous time because the race takes place at 0900 on Thanksgiving day. Talk about a license to eat, yeah baby! We all finished and the kids got ribbons. I was so proud of everyone because this was a tough course with two really huge hills. At one point I thought we weren't going to make it, but like I told the kids, "We're not quitters! We gotta keep going. You'll be glad once we cross the finish line." This may be therepy material one day, but I hope it teaches them to persevere and a sense of commitment. Looking forward to next year's race. It think we may have a tradition on our hands!
